About MGM Academy
myMGM Academy educators have long believed that the system of American education has given ALL parents a unique position in how they choose to have their child embrace learning.

There are 3 types of schooling according to Oliver Van DeMille in the book A Thomas Jefferson Education. DeMille explains that conveyor belt education teaches children what to think in order to just get a job, where as LEADERSHIP education will teach students HOW to think and learn.

Our strongest desire is to help assist each and every student to learn the how of education so that they can be leaders in their homes, jobs and communities. Using all the abilities that God has given them, we encourage the best to be brought out through training, acceptance, and a sense of accomplishment.
“ …only when teachers realize that the principal cause of learning that occurs in a student is the activity of the student’s own mind do they assume the role of cooperative artists. While the activity of the learner’s mind is the principal cause of all learning, it is not the sole cause. Here the teacher steps in as a secondary and cooperative cause.”
